In the poignant film The Big Picture, picture book author Kwon Yoonduk decides to join the Picture Books for Peace Planning Committee. Working alongside passionate authors from Korea, China, and Japan, her mission is to create a meaningful picture book on the comfort women of the Japanese colonial army. However, as the project proceeds, deeply buried past wounds that were forgotten for years start to haunt her. At the same time, creative tensions boil over when the Korean and Japanese authors start a heated debate over her sketch.
