The Apostles is a gripping 2014 Chinese thriller film directed by Joe Chien, starring Josie Ho as Clouds, an authoress haunted by bizarre dreams. Her husband, Zhang Shi Quan, played by Hsieh Cheng Jun, dismisses her nightmares as mere creative stress. However, tragedy strikes when Zhang Shi Quan dies in a sudden plane crash. At the crash site, Clouds meets Han Bin, played by Xia Fan, whose wife, Juan, also perished in the accident. As they go through their late spouses' belongings, Clouds and Han Bin uncover a shocking connection: Zhang Shi Quan and Juan secretly knew each other and had been together in a small town. Suspecting a betrayal, they travel to the town to investigate. Their search quickly turns into a nightmare when they are targeted by a mysterious truck killer, played by Daqing.
