Tenma san ga Yuku follows Hokai Tenma, a man with the inherited ability to communicate with ghosts. Despite this rare gift, Tenma is incredibly cowardly, often screaming and fainting upon seeing spirits. Following the death of his father Tendo, Tenma reluctantly takes over the family ghostbusting business, Obake. Running the company alongside him are Daikoku Keizo, Tendo’s former right-hand man, and Okasaki Akira, a new employee who mistakenly joined thinking Obake was a software gaming company. Every new commission puts the terrified Tenma on edge as he anticipates terrifying encounters. However, instead of forcefully exorcising these spirits, Tenma chooses empathy. He gently persuades the ghosts to let go of their earthly regrets, helping them peacefully cross over to the other world. This delightful story blends comedy and heart, showcasing a reluctant hero who heals souls while fighting his own fears.
