Sweet Lie is a heartwarming romantic comedy about Jiho, a TV writer who has been secretly in love with the same man for ten years. After a night of binge drinking, Jiho experiences the worst day of her life: she gets fired for low viewer ratings, her bag is snatched, and she gets hit by a car. But this streak of bad luck turns out to be a blessing in disguise when the driver is revealed to be Minwoo, her long-time crush. Seizing the moment, Jiho pretends to have amnesia, leaving a guilty Minwoo with no choice but to take her into his home.
