In "Stare," a terrifying series of deaths grips the community. Victims are discovered with their eyeballs grotesquely ruptured, succumbing to sudden heart attacks after exhibiting disturbing, possessed behavior. University student Mizuki witnesses her friend's horrifying demise first-hand. Concurrently, Haruo mourns the loss of his younger brother to the very same inexplicable curse. Driven by grief and a desperate quest for answers, Mizuki and Haruo team up to investigate the unfolding mystery. Their joint search reveals that Eiko possesses a vital clue to understanding the supernatural phenomenon. Tragically, before they can fully unravel the truth, Eiko herself suffers the same horrific fate, her eyeballs rupturing as she dies from a heart attack. Her dying breath whispers a single, chilling word: "Shiraisan," leaving Mizuki and Haruo with a terrifying new lead and the terrifying realization that they might be next.
