In Specialist 3, the brutal murder of Kubota Shu, a former senior prosecutor clubbed to death, sparks a complex investigation. At the crime scene, Takuma Yoshito and the Special Investigation Unit discover a mysterious toy figurine. This figurine is part of a Protect Kyoto mascot set that Takuma himself designed ten years ago, representing a public prosecutor. Realizing a dangerous connection, Takuma dissolves his partnership with Anegakoji Chinami to protect her. He discovers a similar police figurine was left at the murder scene of Chinami’s husband, Takehiko, twelve years ago. This links the past tragedies to Takuma's own wrongful conviction, a conspiracy previously hinted at by prisoner Sagami Wakahiro. Refusing to step aside, Chinami, alongside Matsubara Yuiko and Horikawa Kohei, joins the hunt. Together, they uncover multiple crime scenes marked by these occupational figurines. As the team pieces the puzzle together, they face an unexpected culprit and the shocking truth behind Takuma's wrongful conviction.
