Soundless Wind Chime centers on Ricky, a new immigrant to Hong Kong from China who works as a delivery boy while living with his prostitute aunt Wella. After being pickpocketed by Pascal, a Swiss thief trapped in an abusive relationship with his con artist boyfriend Hannes, Ricky experiences a life-changing encounter. Pascal decides to leave Hannes, leading him and Ricky into a passionate but turbulent romantic relationship. Together, they face the trials of life, forcing them to question if their bond is built on true love or mere dependence. Years later, Ricky travels to Switzerland to search for signs of Pascal. There, he encounters Ueli, a timid antique store owner who looks exactly like Pascal but has a completely different personality. As Ricky and Ueli grow closer, the truth of Pascal and Ricky’s past relationship is slowly unraveled through a haunting narrative that shifts between the present and the past.
