In the chilling drama Snow Woman, a group of villagers carries a casket up a deep snow-covered mountain. Inside is a beautiful woman they believe is a ghost, as this is the second time they have found her dead. After they abandon her on the mountain and flee, the woman awakens and wanders into the freezing wilderness. She is rescued by Nihei, who runs a remote mountain inn. Drawn to her irresistible beauty, Nihei shares a passionate night with her, but at the peak of intimacy, she suddenly dies. After Nihei desperately warms her frozen body, she revives and introduces herself as Oyuki. She explains her bizarre medical constitution of orgasmic death, which causes her to asphyxiate during climax. While Nihei struggles with disbelief, an armed group of men marches into the mountains, determined to confront the mysterious snow woman who has vanished once again.
