Slow Boat Home is a captivating drama set in Cheung Chau. The story revolves around Cheung Bo San (Raymond Wong), an overly ambitious man whose lack of talent drives his father Cheung Sing Mui's (Elliot Ngok) seafood restaurant into bankruptcy. Disheartened by failure, Bo San finds comfort in director Cheng Po Po (Aimee Chan), who loyally supports him even after a severe boat crash leaves him wheelchair-bound. However, drama ensues when Kwok Hei Man (Selena Li) returns to Cheung Chau to help her mother Yip Wing San (Susan Tse) manage their resort. Hei Man secretly plots to build a hotel empire and maliciously dates Bo San to hurt Po Po. Observing her schemes is her first love, Ching Lai Wing (Ruco Chan), who aligns with Po Po to oppose her wrongdoing. Just as Po Po decides to abandon her search for her true identity and return to the U.S., a sudden buyout of the resort business creates an unexpected turning point for everyone involved.
