In the crime thriller Sleepless Town, Kenichi Ryuu is an ex-gangster trying to survive as a dealer of stolen goods. However, his dark past quickly catches up with him. He lives in a dangerous melting pot of gangland activity dominated by rival factions from Beijing, Shanghai, and Taiwan. These powerful groups, who are also his former employers, are all fighting for control of the underworld. The tension explodes when the left-hand man of one of the powerful bosses is found dead.
