In the compelling drama Silk Shoes, director Mansu Duekmun Choi finds himself in deep trouble after his latest film fails and his producer runs away. Left with overwhelming debts, Mansu desperately plans his own escape. However, his plans are cut short when he receives a call from a relentless money lender. Instead of demanding immediate payment, the money lender proposes a bizarre deal: Mansu must make a movie for his aging father, Old Bae. Old Bae is originally from North Korea and has been longing to visit his hometown before he dies. With no other choice and facing serious threats, Mansu reluctantly agrees to shoot the film. But from the very beginning of the shooting, things get incredibly complicated. As unexpected obstacles pile up, the cast and crew find themselves caught in a massive, chaotic mess. This heartwarming yet chaotic journey explores family, longing, and the lengths one will go to survive.
