In the thrilling Japanese drama Shotenin Michiru no Mi no Uebanashi, Michiru (played by Erika Toda) works at a quiet bookstore in a small city. Although she has a boyfriend named Kyutaro (Tasuku Emoto), she begins a secret affair with Toyomasu (Hirofumi Arai), a publishing company employee visiting from Tokyo. Eager for a fresh start, Michiru plans to move to Tokyo with Toyomasu. However, right before her departure, she buys a lottery ticket for a coworker that ends up winning a massive 200 million yen prize, turning her world upside down.
