Set in a psychiatric hospital, Shoot Me in the Heart is a compelling drama about two patients with very different backgrounds. SooMyung, played by Yeo JinGoo, suffers from schizophrenia, a mental illness triggered by his deep guilt over his mother's suicide. His quiet life in the institution changes when he meets SeungMin, played by Lee MinKi. SeungMin is not mentally ill but has been forcibly hospitalized due to a greedy inheritance fight within his wealthy family. Desperate for freedom, SeungMin constantly tries to escape the psychiatric hospital. His strong will and relentless escape attempts inspire SooMyung, who begins to follow SeungMin. Together, they form an unexpected bond in their search for life outside the walls.
