In the historical adventure Shogun Iemitsu Shinobi Tabi, the third Shogun Tokugawa Iemitsu journeys to Kyoto along the dangerous Tokaido road to demonstrate his prestige to the Imperial Court. To ensure safety, an actor poses as the leader in the official procession, while Iemitsu travels in secret under the alias Tokuyama Takenoshin. Accompanying him on this perilous trek is a small group consisting of his loyal bodyguard Yagyu Jubei, Okubo Hikozaemon, Isshin Taro, and Otsuta. As they navigate the hazardous route, they must survive relentless sword and ninja battles.
