Description:

"Shiroi Kage" plunges Nobuko Shimura into a tumultuous first night on duty at Gyoda Hospital. Her initial challenge arrives when childhood friend Jiro Toda is rushed in with a severe head wound from a fight. However, the assigned duty doctor, Yosuke Naoe, is conspicuously absent, having gone out for a drink. The situation quickly escalates as both Toda and the frustrated ambulance crew demand the doctor's immediate presence. Upon Naoe's eventual return, he exhibits a shocking disregard for the chaos, ordering Toda locked in a toilet until he calms down. Nobuko is utterly horrified by his unprofessional attitude. Yet, a dramatic shift occurs when she later witnesses his extraordinary surgical skill in treating Toda’s injury, leaving her profoundly impressed. This stark contrast marks their intense and fateful first meeting, hinting at a complex relationship to come.
