In the supernatural drama Shinigami kun, Satoshi Ono stars as Shinigami-kun, also known as Angel of Death Number 413. Dressed in a black suit and bow tie, this grim reaper informs people of their impending death and takes them to the spirit world with the help of Mirei Kiritani, who appears as a crow. The story takes an emotional turn when Mami Kobayashi, played by Riho Takada, a pretty high school student whose face was burned in a fire, attempts to jump off a hospital rooftop. Shinigami-kun appears and tells Mami she cannot die yet. While Mami is comforted by her ordinary-looking friend Fukuko Oonish, played by Sakurako Ohara, Shinigami-kun makes a shocking announcement. He appears before Fukuko Oonish to deliver a devastating message: she only has three days to live. He urges her to live her remaining days to the fullest without any regret.
