Description:

Set during the chaotic early years of the Chinese republic, ruthless warlords fight endlessly to expand their power. The arrogant young army leader Hao Jie and his sworn brother Huo Lung easily invade the township of Dengfeng. Nearby, the peaceful Shaolin Temple cares for the wounded, while brave disciples Jing Neng, Jing Kong, and Jing secretly help the poor as masked heroes. When Hao Jie discovers the temple is aiding his enemies, he challenges and defeats the Shaolin masters, fueling his growing pride. However, his triumph is short-lived. Betrayed by Huo Lung, a ruined Hao Jie flees to the Shaolin Temple for survival. While recovering, he embraces their way of life, learning martial arts and finding true inner peace. But redemption must be fought for when Huo Lung launches a devastating attack on the sacred temple, leading to an epic battle for survival and honor.
