Description:

Set in 1930, Shanghai Bund is a gripping crime drama that follows Xu Wenqiang, a righteous former student who arrives in Shanghai after being imprisoned. There, he reunites with his past love, Xiao Yun, only to discover she is now involved with the powerful mob boss, Mr. Feng Gengyao. Simultaneously, Wenqiang rescues Mr. Feng's daughter, Feng Chengcheng, and falls in love with her. Alongside his best friend, Ding Li, Wenqiang rises to power under Mr. Feng's influence. However, Wenqiang's strong morals spark a deadly conflict when he discovers Mr. Feng is aiding the Japanese in smuggling drugs. After a tragic assassination attempt costs Xiao Yun her life, Wenqiang destroys the drugs and flees to Hong Kong, leaving Chengcheng behind. Hoping to start over, he marries and prepares for a family, but Mr. Feng's assassins hunt him down and murder his family. Devastated and fueled by rage, Wenqiang returns to Shanghai to seek ultimate revenge against the criminal empire.
