The gripping thriller Seventh Code follows the desperate journey of Akiko, played by Atsuko Maeda. Unable to forget Matsunaga, portrayed by Ryohei Suzuki, after a brief encounter in Tokyo, Akiko travels all the way to Vladivostok to find him. However, her romantic hope quickly turns into a nightmare. When they meet again, Matsunaga claims he does not remember her. He gives her a cold warning not to trust anyone in this foreign land before suddenly leaving. Determined to get answers, Akiko tries to locate Matsunaga again. Instead of finding the man she loves, she is violently attacked by the local mafia, stripped of all her money, and abandoned in a desolate wasteland.
