In the detective drama Senryokugai Sousakan Special, elite yet underappreciated rookie Inspector Umizuki Chinami faces her toughest challenge yet. While unaware of an impending transfer order from the Eighteenth Section of the Tokyo Metropolitan Police Department, Chinami and her partner Shitara Kyosuke escort a robbery suspect, Sugimoto, back from Macau. Tragically, Sugimoto is assassinated immediately upon arriving at the Japanese airport.

As Chinami investigates, she crosses paths with young Yuta, who claims his father, Akiba, has been kidnapped. Despite his mother Horiuchi Keiko dismissing the claim, Chinami follows her instincts. Her investigation leads to the notorious Kanto Natsumekai syndicate, which abducted Akiba to work as a dealer in their illegal casino. This casino links directly to Sugimoto’s massive debts.

However, the illegal operation is protected by diplomatic immunity inside an embassy, rendering it untouchable by Japanese police. With only one month before her April transfer, Chinami and her supportive team must race against time to crack the case.
