In the tense thriller Sea Fog, the 1998 voyage of the fishing vessel Jeonjiho takes a dark turn. Facing financial ruin after a failed fishing expedition, the ship owner decides to sell the vessel. Desperate to save his livelihood, Captain Kang tries to buy the boat himself but fails to secure financing. In a bid to raise the money, Captain Kang makes a risky deal to transport ChineseKorean stowaways from the open sea back to the port. Although crew members like Dong Shik and Chang Wook are terrified of the plan, they reluctantly agree. During a treacherous stormy night, the Jeonjiho meets another boat to transfer the passengers. When a young woman named Hong Mae falls into the freezing ocean, Dong Shik courageously jumps in to save her. This fateful rescue marks the beginning of a claustrophobic and nightmarish journey where survival becomes the ultimate struggle.
