When the clock in the school building strikes midnight, the ordinary campus undergoes a mesmerizing transformation. Empty of human students, it becomes the lively and chaotic School of Pandemonium, known to the spirit world as Hyakkiya-High. This is a unique institution where ghosts, yokai, and spectral beings gather, attend classes, and engage in supernatural shenanigans, completely unseen by human eyes. From spectral lessons in history to spirited competitions on the phantom sports fields, pandemonium and vibrant energy fill the night until dawn approaches.

The film's plot centers on an unexpected human character—perhaps a curious student or someone with an unusual spiritual sensitivity—who inadvertently remains on campus past midnight. Suddenly able to perceive the previously hidden world, they are thrust into a realm of playful pranks, otherworldly challenges, and genuine dangers posed by their ghostly classmates. They must quickly learn the rules of this fantastic, unseen school and navigate its chaotic corridors, all while trying to understand their newfound ability and find a way back to their human life before sunrise dissolves the spectral campus.
