Sanada Taiheiki is a gripping NHK drama that chronicles the epic rise of the Sanada family during Japan's turbulent Sengoku period. Spanning the years 1582 to 1615, the narrative begins right after the death of Takeda Shingen. Originally serving the Takeda Clan, the resilient Sanada family quickly rises to prominence, ruling the Chiisagata District of Northern Shinano, capturing Numata Castle in NW Kozuke province, and constructing Ueda Castle. Renowned for their brilliant military strategies, they even defeat a major attack by Tokugawa Ieyasu in 1585. To secure their domain, the clan utilizes a nationwide intelligence network of specially trained ninja with superhuman abilities. As Tokugawa Ieyasu rises to establish his Shogunate, the story focuses on the legendary Sanada Yukimura and his Sanada Ten Braves, also known as Sanada Juyushi. These ten elite warriors take an active, heroic part in the historic Battles of Osaka Castle, defending their legacy against overwhelming odds.
