Sailor Fuku to Kikanju is a gripping Japanese drama that follows Hoshi Izumi, a high school student whose life is turned upside down when her father dies in a sudden accident. Soon after, Sakuma, the waka gashira of a weak Yakuza gang in Asakusa called the Medaka Gumi, pays her a visit. Following their boss's death, the gang is on the verge of breakup unless Izumi, the only surviving distant relative, agrees to become their eighth kumicho. Although she refuses at first, she ultimately accepts. Things get complicated when the police suspect her father's death was actually a homicide. Furthermore, a mysterious woman named Mayumi is spotted staring closely at her father's photo. The situation escalates when the vicious drug-dealing Hamaguchi Gumi gang and Sandaiji Hajime, a politician publicly campaigning to eliminate drugs, get involved in the conflict.
