Description:

The drama series Saikou no Rikon depicts the complex love and marriage of two 30-something couples. Hamasaki Mitsuo is an ordinary salaryman working at a vending machine company. Stress from his recent transfer to sales is unbearable, but his biggest pain is his two-year marriage to Yuka. They are completely unsuited; while Yuka is bighearted, she ignores details, leaving Mitsuo questioning his love for her. One day, Mitsuo reunites with Uehara Akari, his ex-girlfriend from university. Akari has recently moved to his neighborhood and opened an aromatherapy massage business at home. She is newly married to Uehara Ryo, an assistant at an arts college. While Mitsuo is in high spirits over this chance encounter, the reunion starts to complicate the lives and relationships of both couples.
