Ruse of Engagement is a gripping action drama that follows widow Tong Suk-fan, played by Louise Lee, as she struggles to raise her two sons, Chong Yau-ching (Ruco Chan) and Chong Yau-kit (Ron Ng). Both brothers join the elite Anti-Terrorist Force, serving in the Intelligence and Operations Units under superior Shum Ching-o (Eddie Kwan). However, their strong brotherhood quickly turns into bitter enmity over classified intelligence. Guided by journalist Yip Ting (Yoyo Mung), Yau-ching investigates a mysterious secret organization, surviving a near-death experience. With help from his intelligence analyst girlfriend Chung Yat-ka (Aimee Chan), Yau-ching uncovers a dangerous mole within their agency. Seizing the opportunity, Yau-kit suspects his brother of treason while secretly courting Yat-ka. As Yau-ching faces betrayal, he finds comfort in Yip Ting, sparking unexpected romantic feelings. Ultimately, Yau-ching risks everything, using himself as bait to catch the culprit, leading him down a dark path of no return where love and loyalty are lost forever.
