In Rurouni Kenshin, the former legendary assassin Kenshin Himura, played by Takeru Sato, has transitioned into a wandering samurai. Seeking atonement for his past violent deeds, Kenshin travels the land to offer aid and protect those in need. His journey leads him to Tokyo, where he crosses paths with and helps Kaoru Kamiya, portrayed by Emi Takei. Kaoru is a dedicated instructor at the Kamiya Kasshinryu, a kendo school opened by her father. Grateful for his assistance, Kaoru invites Kenshin to stay at her family dojo. As they spend time together, a deeper relationship begins to develop between them. However, peace is hard to find for the wandering samurai, as Kenshin remains deeply haunted by his dark and violent past.
