Description:

The Ring plunges into a chilling mystery surrounding a cursed videotape from Izu, rumored to kill anyone who watches it within seven days. Two teenagers, Masami and Tomoko, discuss this urban legend. Tomoko confides that she and three friends watched a strange tape a week ago and subsequently received a mysterious call. Shortly after, Tomoko is brutally killed by an unseen force in her home. Days later, reporter Reiko begins investigating the popular video curse after discovering her niece, Tomoko, and three friends all died simultaneously on the same night, their faces twisted in terror. Reiko also learns that Masami, traumatized by witnessing Tomoko's death, is now institutionalized. Following a trail of photos, Reiko uncovers that the four victims stayed at a rental cabin in Izu, leading her closer to the terrifying truth behind the deadly seven-day curse.
