Ju is a Chinese restaurant delivery boy whose only joy in life is spending time in an electronic game room. His ordinary life changes dramatically when he is advised to log into a virtual reality game called Resurrection of the Little Match Girl. Through this game, the tragic match selling girl of Andersen's famous fairytale is revived, and Ju is drawn deep into her digital cyberspace. As reality and cyberspace begin to interchange, Ju is given a crucial mission: he must save the little girl from constant danger and lead her to a peaceful death. However, accomplishing this task is highly perilous. The duo must not only navigate deadly obstacles that place their lives in danger, but they must also confront a gigantic, hostile force called the System that will stop at nothing to defeat them. Ju must fight through both worlds to complete his mission and survive.
