Rest on Your Shoulder is a touching fantasy romance film that explores the depths of true love and sacrifice. The story begins when Yan Guo, a famous doctor, falls dangerously ill. Desperate to save his life, his devoted girlfriend Baobao makes a heartbreaking deal with a mysterious creature. In exchange for his recovery, she agrees to be transformed into a butterfly for three years.

When Yan Guo wakes up fully healed, he is devastated by Baobaos sudden disappearance. As he struggles to cope with his grief, other women try to win his heart. Meanwhile, Baobao adapts to her new life as a butterfly, only to be rejected by other insects who find her too human.

Chaos strikes when a deadly, infectious disease begins spreading across the island. Despite their separation, both Yan Guo and Baobao work tirelessly to help those around them survive. As the three-year promise nears its end, will they find their way back to each other for a happy ending?
