Description:

Ransom is a gripping disaster thriller plunging audiences into a desperate fight for survival. The film begins amidst escalating tension within a seemingly secure building, where multiple, distinct ransom negotiations are simultaneously unfolding, each driven by unique motives.

Suddenly, a cataclysmic earthquake violently rips through the city, reducing the structure to a perilous, isolated tomb. With the building utterly disconnected from the outside world, emergency services are non-existent, and hope dwindles.

The focus then shifts to the trapped survivors, now forced to confront not only the immediate dangers of the crumbling environment but also each other. The prior hostage situations morph into a brutal, no-holds-barred struggle for existence, revealing the darkest aspects of human nature under extreme duress. Based on a 2015 short film, Ransom delivers an intense exploration of survival when all civility crumbles in the face of absolute chaos.
