Rang De explores the complex journey of Arjun, whose childhood jealousy towards the academically superior Anu evolves into deep hatred. Seeking an escape, Arjun cheats to secure an MBA spot in Dubai. His plan is thwarted when Anu also aims for the same limited university positions. In frustration, Arjun sabotages Anu's study abroad dreams, leading to her heartbreaking agreement to marriage. However, Anu, aware of his treachery, orchestrates a public kiss on their wedding day, forcing Arjun into a marriage under family pressure. She reveals it's a revenge plot, compelling him to take her to the university abroad. Their turbulent "Tom and Jerry" relationship in Dubai takes an unexpected turn with Anu's pregnancy. Arjun, unhappy, demands an abortion, accusing her of trapping him. Anu vows divorce after her studies. Yet, feeling the baby's kick, Arjun gradually realizes Anu's enduring love and his own growing affection, recalling their past despite his hatred. Following their child's birth, they finally reunite, embracing their family.
