Project 17: Skate Our Souls follows a young man grappling with depression and adjustment issues after moving to a new city for education. His grades decline, and sleep becomes elusive. A chance encounter with a spirited group of skateboarders changes everything. Enticed to try skateboarding, he falls but feels no pain, enjoying his first restful sleep in a long time.

His father, concerned about negative influences, forbids the sport. However, with the support of a compassionate teacher-in-training, he secretly begins learning advanced skateboarding techniques from the leader of the group. His journey takes a challenging turn when an accident leaves his mentor injured, causing him immense guilt. He contemplates abandoning his passion and the blossoming friendships. Ultimately, it is the unwavering encouragement from his loved ones that will empower him to overcome his fears, find his courage, and stand tall once more, embracing his passion for skateboarding and a new chapter in his life.
