Description:

"Pleasantly Surprised" introduces Du Kai Qi, a fiercely independent single woman dedicated to her passion for comic books and her role as a chef at Figaro Cuisine, a renowned fine-dining French restaurant. Her meticulously ordered life takes an unexpected turn when Fu Zi Jie moves in next door, immediately sparking a series of petty squabbles over minor issues. The two become instant adversaries in their everyday lives.

The professional world soon mirrors Kai Qi's personal frustrations when Zi Jie inexplicably appears as a new hire at Figaro Cuisine. Both Kai Qi and her colleagues dismiss him as an inexperienced intern, unaware of his true credentials. Unbeknownst to them, Zi Jie is a classically trained chef recently returned from France, and the very restaurant where Kai Qi pours her heart into cooking is, in fact, owned by his father. This revelation promises to completely upend Kai Qi's assumptions and transform their antagonistic relationship.
