In the poignant drama Petal Dance, four women carrying their own unique sorrows embark on a transformative road trip to reflect on their pasts and restart their lives. The emotional journey begins when university friends Jinko, played by Aoi Miyazaki, and Motoko, played by Sakura Ando, hear a troubling rumor about their former classmate, Miki, played by Kazue Fukiishi. Rumor has it that Miki ran into the sea but fortunately survived. Deeply concerned, Jinko and Motoko decide to visit Miki to see if she is okay. Joining them as their driver is Haraki, played by Shiori Kutsuna, an acquaintance Jinko met at the library where she works. Together, these four women set off on a reflective one-night and two-day road trip. As they travel, they confront their personal struggles, bond over shared vulnerabilities, and seek healing.
