Description:

"Percent" follows Yoshizawa Miku, a dedicated member of the variety show team at local TV station PTele. Her career takes an exciting turn when her drama proposal is accepted, earning her a transfer to the coveted drama department. However, her joy is short-lived. The department head promptly challenges her, requesting that the drama's protagonist be a person with disabilities, to support the network's Diversity Month campaign.

Despite her initial concerns, Miku is determined to make her project a success and begins a diligent search for the perfect lead. She soon encounters Miyajima Haru, a high school student who uses a wheelchair and dreams of becoming an actress. Charmed by Haru's spirit and talent, Miku offers her the role. But Haru firmly refuses, stating she doesn't want her disability to be exploited. Undeterred by the rejection, Miku, refusing to give up, seeks Haru out again, visiting her at the rehearsal studio of the theater company she belongs to. This compelling story explores the complexities of representation, ambition, and authentic storytelling in television.
