The heartwarming drama Partners follows Tsuyoshi Osanai, a nineteen-year-old freeter who decides to enter a school for guide dog trainers. After two years of hard work, Tsuyoshi graduates to become an assistant trainer. His very first assignment is Chie, a dog who spent ten months living with the Hasegawa family before entering the training school. However, training Chie proves to be extremely difficult, and Tsuyoshi struggles to make progress. Seeking answers, he consults Miwa, the ten-year-old daughter of the Hasegawa family, who shares that their bond was built purely on love. Soon after, Tsuyoshi and Chie cross paths with Makoto, a rock singer who lost her sight in an accident and has shut herself off from the world. Determined to help, Tsuyoshi and Chie attempt to break through Makoto's emotional walls and open her mind once again. But just as they begin to make progress, an unexpected accident happens to Chie, putting their journey to the ultimate test.
