Oshi no Oujisama centers on Izumi Hidaka, a 36-year-old CEO of a thriving game company, Pegasus Ink. Four years prior, her game "Love My Pegasus" achieved immense popularity, largely due to the character Kentosoma, Izumi's meticulously crafted ideal man. So deeply obsessed with Kentosoma's personality and appearance, Izumi has remained single for years. While successfully navigating game development and fundraising for new projects, her life takes an unexpected turn one evening.

A drunken Izumi encounters Wataru Igarashi, a 23-year-old fleeing a debt collector after jumping from an overpass. Izumi is immediately captivated by Wataru's uncanny resemblance to Kentosoma. However, her excitement quickly sours as she discovers Wataru's true nature: ill-mannered, uncultured, and lethargic—a stark contrast to her refined ideal. Undeterred by this profound disappointment, Izumi becomes determined to transform Wataru into Kentosoma, her perfect ideal man, in every way possible.
