One Night in Supermarket is a chaotic comedy set during the wee hours at Wang Wang Supermarket in northern China. Nerdy stockroom boy Li Junwei, played by Kimi Qiao, is on duty alongside his crush, cashier Tang Xiaolian, played by Lulu Li. Their quiet night shift takes a wild turn when He Sanshui, played by Xu Zheng, bursts in with his two clumsy sidekicks, Zhao Yingjun and Wang Dongfang. Demanding 9,500 yuan in compensation from the absent boss lady Wang Sufen, played by Yang Qing, due to a lost lottery ticket, He Sanshui decides to take hostages. The trio ties up Tang and takes over the shop, planning to sell groceries to recover the cash. As the night drags on with slow business and bizarre customers, the situation grows increasingly desperate. The unexpected arrival of the boss lady and a dangerous, gun-toting robber, played by Zhang Jiayi, turns this supermarket standoff into an absolute disaster.
