Description:

Omiai Kekkon follows Setsuko, who once left her stewardess career to marry her boyfriend. When that relationship ends, her concerned parents, worried about her future, arrange an Omiai—a traditional Japanese meeting custom—to find her a new husband. She meets Koutaro, and what begins as a simple introduction quickly spirals into a complicated situation. A misunderstanding leads Koutaro's boss to pressure him into marrying Setsuko to avoid bringing shame upon their respective families.

Initially, both Setsuko and Koutaro are clearly uninterested in this forced arrangement, finding themselves reluctantly pushed towards a marriage neither desired. Their early interactions are awkward and filled with resistance. However, as they navigate the peculiar circumstances of their engagement and spend more time together, a surprising transformation begins. They slowly start to see beyond their initial reluctance and the external pressures, gradually developing a genuine sense of mutual respect and understanding, hinting at the unexpected possibility of love blossoming from an unconventional start.
