Naruyouni Narusa is a heartwarming drama that explores family dynamics and new beginnings. After their youngest son Takeru marries, Nagashima Daigo and his wife Aya face an empty nest. Daigo plans to retire and travel the world, but Aya has a different dream. Wanting to reclaim her independence, Aya decides to convert their home into a charming cafe-cum-restaurant.

Although initially reluctant, Daigo supports his wife's passion project. As they prepare for the opening, they hire three unique staff members under unusual circumstances. They welcome Uchida Yoko, a runaway Daigo saved from the streets; Otake Sho, a family friend's grandchild seeking to rejoin society after a year of isolation; and Nakatsu Eri, who is running away from an abusive husband. Together, this unconventional group forms a new kind of family, finding healing and purpose in their cozy restaurant.
