Description:

Set in 1936, the film "Nami Uraraka ni, Meoto Biyori" (adapted from the manga) follows Natsumi, the third of four daughters from the Sekiya family, as her life takes an unforeseen turn. Her father suddenly announces an arranged marriage to Takimasa Ebata, an officer in the Imperial Navy. Having never experienced romance or even met Takimasa, Natsumi is utterly surprised and embarrassed when she must marry his picture due to his naval training. Their first meeting is equally challenging; Natsumi finds Takimasa unexpressive and struggles with his reserved demeanor. Nevertheless, committed to her new role, Natsumi diligently manages their home and supports her husband. Slowly, as she witnesses his subtle kindness, her initial discomfort gives way to understanding. This tender story explores Natsumi's journey of gradually opening her heart and building an unexpected bond in a pre-war Japanese society.
