In the action comedy My Wife is a Gangster 3, also known as Jopog manura 3, the story follows Ah Ryoung, played by Shu Qi. After being framed for the murder of a rival gang boss in Hong Kong, her father, played by Lung Ti, advises her to flee. She decides to seek refuge in South Korea, the birthplace of her mysterious mother. To ensure her safety, a friendly local mob boss assigns his third-in-command, Ki Chul, played by Lee Bum Soo, to protect her during her stay. What begins as a strictly professional arrangement to hide the runaway gangster soon takes an unexpected turn. As Ki Chul and Ah Ryoung spend more time together, their mutual relationship slowly develops into a passionate love.
