Set during the Japanese occupation of Korea, My Way follows the intense rivalry between Korean runner JoonSik and Japanese official's grandson Tatsuo. Growing up in Seoul, both boys excel at marathon running, but a tragic bomb explosion that kills Tatsuo’s grandfather tears their families apart. Years later, JoonSik works as a rickshaw runner. With the help of Berlin Olympics winner Son KiJung, JoonSik secures a spot in an Olympic qualifying race. Although JoonSik crosses the finish line first, officials falsely declare Tatsuo the winner, sparking a massive riot. As punishment, JoonSik and his fellow Korean protestors are conscripted into the Japanese Imperial Army and sent to the front lines in China. Their fates collide once again when Tatsuo, now a fiercely loyal colonel, arrives to command JoonSik's military unit. This historical war drama captures an epic journey of survival, rivalry, and destiny.
