Murmur of the Hearts is a touching drama that follows siblings Yu Mei and Yu Nan. Born on Green Island off the east coast of Taiwan, they grew up listening to magical fairy tales about mermaids told by their mother. These childhood memories still linger in their hearts. Today, Yu Mei works as a painter based in Taipei, but she is struggling in her personal life. She is in a rocky and difficult relationship with Hsiang, an aspiring boxer. Hsiang is completely consumed by his passion, channeling all of his energy and focus into intense training. As Yu Mei and Yu Nan face their own paths, the film beautifully captures the contrast between their nostalgic past and the painful realities of adulthood. Murmur of the Hearts is an emotional journey about love, family bonds, and the quiet struggles of finding yourself.
