In the early years of the Republic of China, a secluded village lies hidden deep within the quiet mountains and dense forests of the Northeast. Kong Zhaosu, a man engaged in the underworld business of hiding treasures, accidentally stumbles into this seemingly tranquil place. What he discovers defies all logic. The village, initially appearing serene, is riddled with unsettling oddities. Paper sedan chairs are seen hijacking brides, while intricately carved coffins mysteriously contain beautiful women. Even more bizarre, corpses are found inexplicably covered in gold sand. As these strange and weird events unfold one after another, Kong Zhaosu delves deeper into the village's disturbing mysteries. He soon uncovers that this isolated community harbors an astonishing secret, far greater and more sinister than he could have ever imagined, threatening to unravel its very foundation.
