Description:

The emotional drama Maundy Thursday follows YuJung, played by Lee NaYoung, a wealthy university professor who has just survived her third suicide attempt. Deeply traumatized since the age of fifteen, YuJung lives in isolation, harboring intense disdain for her mother. Her life takes an unexpected turn when her aunt, Sister Monica, who visits prison inmates, asks her for a favor. A death row inmate named YunSoo, portrayed by Gang DongWon, requests to meet YuJung. Reluctantly, YuJung agrees to counsel him. YunSoo has endured a brutal childhood, abandoned by his parents to survive on the streets while protecting his younger brother, eventually leading to a murder conviction. Although from completely different worlds, YuJung and YunSoo slowly break down their walls. They form a deep, powerful connection built on shared grief and pain. Through their weekly meetings, both find a renewed will to live. However, they must soon confront their growing feelings for each other while facing the tragic reality of their limited time together.
