Description:

"Marry In and Get Married" centers on Jin Wei's homecoming to his Beijing courtyard after a decade away, bringing his wife Jenny and four-year-old son Charlie. His father, Jin Defang, is immensely proud, openly celebrating his eldest son's return to work in China and constantly praising his capabilities to everyone. This overwhelming happiness, however, inadvertently sparks deep jealousy among Jin Wei's younger siblings: the second son, third son, and younger daughter. As the family navigates the cultural adjustments and the reintegration of Jin Wei's Westernized family, the simmering resentment from his siblings threatens to disrupt their long-awaited reunion. The film explores the complexities of family expectations, the challenges of bridging cultural gaps, and whether the bonds of brotherhood and sisterhood can withstand the pressures of perceived favoritism and unspoken rivalries. It delves into what it truly means to belong and to be married into a family, both culturally and emotionally.
