In the film Machi Action, Tie Nan, played by Chen Bolin, is a washed up actor whose childhood dream is suddenly shattered. After portraying a famous space hero for years, the show producers decide to replace him with a younger, fresher face named Face, played by Owodog Zhuang. Left without his signature role, Tie Nan refuses to give up. Together with his loyal best friend and costar Monster, played by Qiu Yanxiang, Tie Nan sets out on a journey to find new acting gigs. As they search for new opportunities in the entertainment industry, the struggle leads Tie Nan to look deeper within himself. Through these new challenges, he begins to rediscover his identity. Ultimately, this hard path enlightens Tie Nan on what being a hero truly means, proving that real heroism comes from within rather than just playing a character on television.
