In the emotional drama Love Before, Suin, a former top chef wrongfully accused of murdering his wife, takes a desperate gamble to escape prison and prove his innocence. He intentionally contracts the AIDS virus using the blood of his prison mate, Sangbyung. However, after his wife’s lover confesses to the crime and commits suicide, a hopeless Suin is left with nowhere to turn. He seeks refuge at café Le Luth, run by the mysterious Mia. Mia is Sangbyung’s former girlfriend, living in isolation after a dark past involving her ex. Hiding how he found her, Suin starts working at the café. As Suin teaches her how to cook and Mia shares magic tricks taught by Sangbyung, these two broken souls form a deep, healing bond. But their peaceful days are suddenly threatened when the police arrive to arrest Suin.
